Cheney's First Glance

Yes, I'm back! Did you miss me? :-) Things are going wonderful here at the Mitchell home and our bundle of joy is doing amazing. He's growing so fast! I can't believe he's already 2 months old!! I feel like celebrating... how about you?

Okay, how about a GIVEAWAY?! I'm going to have a randomized drawing for a free mini-session (that's 45 minutes at one location). All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment with your e-mail address and tell me what your favorite Disney movie is and why. One rule: you do have to be local in the Houston area. Poor mothers who do this as a part-time gig don't get to travel much! I have no idea why I'm making it be based on Disney, but that's the first thing that popped into my head. Can I tell you a story while I'm at it? My senior year in high school I received the opportunity to travel to Florida for a Cheerleading Nationals (yes, I was a blonde cheerleader). We visited the usual Disney World and my heart was set on seeing my favorite Disney Character-- Donald Duck. I've always loved him and I've never quite figured out why. Maybe the temper... I do have a red-headed husband and now a red-headed son... just teasing... kind of... nevermind... :) The sad news is, I missed him every where we went. Even when he was scheduled they would change his schedule on me. I think I spent 5 hours one day dragging my friends along try to find him. The worst part... at 18 years old, I cried not being able to see Donald. Now that is probably one of the most pathetic stories I have, but if you can top that, please let me know!! I will announce the winner on my blog April 16th at 8:00 PM, so check back soon!

In the mean time, how about some cute pictures of this wonderful family? It's my son's adopted Grandparents since his biological ones are pretty far away. This is just a sneak peek, so much more to come!

what? I would love it! Favorite disney movie? Hmmm... I'll say Aladdin, because I saw it with my first boyfriend at 14 and he held my sweaty hand during it (we were with a group of friends, so it wasn't a date :) ). I had a pathetic crush on this guy for 2 years and have embarassing proof of my obsession in my journals from that time period.

Doesn't that make you want to pick me?

Okay--I'm out of are, but my favorite Disney character--by far and large--Mickey. Love him. I could collect Mickey paraphenlia forever--so I haven't started yet. Love the pictures and FYI--love red hair. You are lucky--you have two red heads at your house!!

Again, great job on the photos. I'd love to have an updated family picture. The last one we have is when Hayden was about 5 months and he's now 2! I love Disney movies. I think my favorite is still The Jungle Book strictly for the music. It has such fun songs and I'm all about music. I hope you get to see Donald soon!

I'll even sign up for your free mini session, that's if I can win it! ;)

It is blue bonnet season! Need some good pictures of that.

Any ways humm ... My first trip to Disney Land I turned 6 while I was there, and my parents set up a breakfast with the Characters, I've thought for years the breakfast was just for me. Turns out any one can sign up. :)
We are Disney Finatics!!! My kids have been 3 times already twice to California and once to Florida. Landon got to Dance with Mr. Incredible this past time and Emma loved having breakfast at Cinderella's castle!!! We love Disney!!!

And we love you guys!!! Glad you got to come and eat some Crawfish!

My Favorite movie - Pocahotas I think she's so beautiful (I love her long black hair and olive skin) Really I love the idea of any Disney Princesses - Cinderella, Snow White, Bell (I tell Bella that she's Bell from Beauty & the Beast) I love the idea of a prince coming to a princess as well as a Happy Ever After story! I KNOW just a normal girly answer! But, I also just love Piglet - he's so small and cute! (I guess I felt I could relate since I was so small)

Your pictures are beautiful! Very artistic and natural.

My favorite Disney movie has to be Sleeping Beauty. Growing up I would watch it all the time and pretend I was Sleeping Beauty in a dress that would change colors. Isn't that every girls fanatasy, be in a magical dress while dancing with your prince?

There are so many great Disney movies out there it's hard to choose. I would have to narrow it down to "Old" and "Modern/Pixar". Out of the "Old" movies "Robin Hood" is King. Disney/Pixar is much tougher to choose the best but I would say that "Cars" takes the checkered flag with "Monsters Inc." a scary second.

I hope to see our pictures on your website really soon.
